Ronald Acuña Jr. made the third appearance of his rehab assignment on Thursday afternoon and had himself quite the day, mashing a grand slam and walking twice.
Acuña is still playing in the Florida Complex League. Once the second half gets underway, we’ll likely see him move up to Gwinnett pretty quickly, but it’s evident the Braves aren’t going to rush anything. He’s served as the DH in each of his three games so far. We’ll hopefully see him in the field soon, but it’s looking like he’ll miss at least the first week of the second half, and it could even be a couple of weeks before we see him back in Atlanta.
