Look, the goal is to win football games and the Georgia Bulldogs won this one. Beyond that, well, I’ll have more thoughts shortly. For now, let’a turn our attention to some solid football taking place for the remainder of your Saturday.
If you’re not turning over to watch the Braves and Dodgers in the NLDS, you could take in Ohio State traveling to Iowa on CBS. Also Florida travels to Missouri on ABC looking to avoid a hangover after their big win over Ole Miss. The SEC Network has Kentucky going to Columbia to take on South Carolina in a game that could see a changing of the guard in the lower-middle of the SEC.
The evening slate is filled with games that shouldn’t be incredibly competitive but just might get really interesting if they are. Miami travels to Clemson on ABC, with the Hurricanes a prohibitive favorite. The Washington Huskies will take on USC on NBC. If you’re a bit of a degenerate you may enjoy the 7:00 ESPN game between Arkansas and Texas A&M, a matchup of coaches who both really, really need a win. Like, in a “honey, don’t put up the Christmas decorations quite yet” kind of way.
So let’s enjoy another evening of college football action. Every one is special in its own way, and you only get so many of them in a year. Let’s make this one count.
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
