After disappointingly dropping the first two games in their series with the New York Mets, the Braves have made a couple of roster moves.
Aaron Bummer is heading to the 15-day IL with shoulder inflammation, and Erick Fedde has been released. In their place, Wander Suero and Hunter Stratton have been recalled to Atlanta.

The biggest news here is Aaron Bummer going on the Injured List with a shoulder injury.
Bummer has been better than a lot of Braves fans might care to admit since he was acquired ahead of the 2024 campaign. Over the last two seasons, he owns a 3.69 ERA with a 2.86 FIP and 113 ERA+ (13% above league average). However, after receiving a contract extension last offseason, he gets quite a hefty raise in 2026, with his salary spiking to $9.5 million after making just $3.5 million this season.
That’s a steep price to pay for a slightly above average middle relief pitcher, especially one that is now dealing with a shoulder injury. Hopefully, this move is a precautionary one, but shoulder injuries have a knack for being tricky and can linger, sometimes completely derailing careers, as we’ve seen recently with Kyle Wright and Reynaldo Lopez.
