This is Free Form Friday, the virtual community pool around which we lounge while waiting for the blessed return of college football. Remember, one poster at a time in the diving board, and yes, all minors must be accompanied by an adult who’s consumed fewer Coors Lites than they have fingers. Other than that, it’s just like Heaven.
As usual, I’ll throw out a topic about which you’re free to give your opinion, or to ignore in favor of other more interesting topics. Maestro, the music:
As we noted recently, the return of talkin’ season heralds the coming of college football as surely as day follows dawn. And you’re going to be watching some of it, regardless of how frustrating you may find the current landscape of collegiate athletics. What we want to know is, how do you plan to do that?
I’ve determined that YouTube TV is a viable option for getting the SEC football that I need to watch. It also carries the CBS and FOX major matchups that I could pick up on terrestrial television.
Our family also happens to have a subscription to Disney+, which members of our household demand in order to watch Bluey and Dance Moms (okay, you caught me, it’s me). And that service is a sneaky good add-on for a football degenerate like me who occasionally likes to unwind by watching North Dakota State, Colorado School of Mines, or some other streaming-only level FCS program do freaky things on offense that won’t show up in the SEC until next year.
How about you? Am I missing a better streaming option for the money? Has anyone made a purchasing mistake they’re willing to own up to so the rest if us can avoid it? We’d love to hear from you.
