Are you not hyped? Let Bulldog legend A.J. Green help:
In injury news, the Bulldogs have good news and bad news on the Friday evening eligibility report.
The return of Chauncey Bowens and Thomas Blackshear is certainly welcome. Dwight Phillips has done great work in the backfield, but we need to spread the pounding around to as many tailbacks as possibles.
But Joseph Jonah-Ajonye being ruled out and Elyiss Williams as questionable don’t give me a warm fuzzy feeling. Jonah-Ajonye has really come in as a disruptive presence on the edge. Williams of course is one of the Athenians’ better blockers and matchup nightmares in the passing game.
Away from the gridiron, the Hoop Hounds improved to 2-0 with a 91-77 victory over the fearsome Presbyterian Blue Hose. The Bulldogs looked cleaner offensively than in their season opener against North Carolina Central, but are still very much a work in progress. In accordance with this site’s standing practice, we will generally divert our eyes from Mike White’s squad until they’ve had a chance to get their act together. It’s the kind thing to dip. Until later…
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
