Tyler Huntley will start in Jackson’s place, and while the injury will make the game significantly more manageable, it still isn’t going to be a walk in the park. The Ravens are a well-coached football team with a ton of talent on both sides of the ball — easily the best all-around team the Falcons have faced this season — and Huntley has a lot of NFL experience as a backup.
Just last year, the Ravens went 2-0 in games he started, so hopefully there’s no letdown from Atlanta as the team looks to build even more momentum following back-to-back wins over the Packers and Saints.
In more good news, both Jake Matthews and Za’Darius Smith participated in practice today and will be game-time decisions for Sunday’s showdown.

Matthews added that he feels really good about his chances of playing, and when a guy who has started 199 consecutive games says something along those lines, you can usually take him at his word.
Yasir Abdullah is out after the best game of his career last week against the Saints, when he filled in for Za’Darius Smith, who suffered a concussion in the first quarter. That’s even more reason Smith’s status will be one to monitor closely leading up to game time. Without him, the Falcons will be really thin on the edge — not an ideal scenario against Derrick Henry and company.
