NCSO arrests 14 during countywide vehicle checkpoint
A countywide vehicle checkpoint resulted in 14 arrests. The checkpoints were set up across the county on Friday, June 26 from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. The checkpoints were initiated by the Newton County Sheriff’s Office (NCSO) and held in conjunction with the Covington Police Department, Georgia State Patrol and surrounding Central Region Traffic Enforcement Network agencies.
