Some members of the Braves 2025 MLB Draft class are already turning heads, but none more so than third-round pick Cody Miller.
After posting incredible numbers at East Tennessee State University, Miller has wasted no time flashing impressive bat to ball skills with the Augusta Green Jackets, the Braves Low-A affiliate. In ten games, he’s hitting .372 with three extra-base hits and 11 RBIs, earning him a quick promotion to High-A Rome.

The Braves took a different approach to this year’s MLB Draft, selecting shortstops in the first three rounds. That’s obviously been the most pressing need for the club ever since Dansby Swanson departed in free agency, but none of these selections should be viewed strictly as shortstops. They are athletes that can play a number of positions, and Cody Miller fits that description to a tee. He possesses incredible speed with an impressive hit tool and can be used all over the diamond. Miller will be a top prospect to watch as the calendar turns to 2026.
