As the Falcons prepare for their final preseason contest against the Dallas Cowboys on Friday, the team has made a number of notable roster moves.
Quarterback Ben DiNucci has been signed after Emory Jones suffered a head injury against the Titans. Additionally, wide receiver DJ Chark has been released, and the Falcons added defensive end Ronnie Perkins, who most recently spent time with the Birmingham Stallions in the UFL.

The #Falcons are signing former #Patriots DE Ronnie Perkins, per source.

DJ Chark, who said he was close to retiring before Easton Stick convinced him to sign with the Falcons, joined the team in late July but never really made an impact in the first two preseason games. Hopefully, this is also a promising signal for Darnell Mooney, who is working his way back from a shoulder injury that he suffered early in training camp.
Ronnie Perkins was a third-round pick of the Patriots in 2021 out of Oklahoma, but he never appeared in a game with New England. His only NFL action came in 2023, when he played in seven games for the Denver Broncos. With the Birmingham Stallions, Perkins recorded 17 tackles and 3.5 sacks this year.
