Fuller signed a one-year deal in the offseason as a veteran presence who could step in as a starter if needed. He entered training camp competing with rookie Xavier Watts for the role alongside Jessie Bates III, but Watts won the job and has been outstanding through his first five games. While there’s no longer a debate about the Falcons’ starting safeties, adding depth at this stage of the season is never a bad thing.
