Here are some fun fall festivals and events in and around Savannah, along with what to expect.
Savannah Oktoberfest is a festival that takes place on the riverfront, turning the Plant Riverside District into a Bavarian-style beer garden every autumn. The 2026 event will happen from October 3 to October 11, and most activities will be on two weekends: October 3-4 and October 10-11. These events take place along the Riverwalk and MLK Park, which are part of the West River Street waterfront in Savannah.
Put on your bandana and eye patch proudly as we prepare for an extraordinary weekend! Join us for the annual Tybee Island Pirate Fest from October 8-11. Don’t miss out on this opportunity for food, live music, entertainment, and plenty of pirate-themed revelry!

SAVANNAH GREEK FESTIVAL
OCTOBER 8 – 10, 11 AM to 9 PM
One of Savannah’s most loved annual events. With 75 years of tradition and plenty of happy memories, this event is a favorite every year. This year‘s festival will have homemade Greek foods, Greek desserts, Greek dancing, Greek music, church tours, a marketplace, and more during the three-day celebration of Greek food, music, and heritage. The event is hosted by St Paul’s Greek Orthodox Church at the Hellenic Center at 14 West Anderson Street and draws thousands of visitors each year. Visitors get to enjoy the delicious and rich Greek culture through food and treats. Admission is free for all three days of the festival this year! Enjoy traditional Greek menu items like Pastisio, Spanakopita, Dolmades, and Souvlaki. Pastries such as baklava, koulourakia, and our famous Greek coffee are sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
