Raheem Morris provides updates on a couple of injured Falcons

The Falcons have several injured players that could potentially rejoin the team following the bye week. None more important than star cornerback A.J. Terrell, who has not played since sustaining a hamstring injury in Week 2 against the Vikings.

On Tuesday, Falcons head coach Raheem Morris said he is “feeling good” about Terrell’s chances of playing come Monday night. He’s expected to return to practice this week but will be a game-time decision.

In Terrell’s absence, Dee Alford performed well in Week 3, even though the Falcons suffered a 30-point loss to the Panthers. Week 4, however, told a very different story—one reminiscent of his entire 2024 campaign, which nobody will remember fondly. The Commanders repeatedly identified where Alford was lined up and made him a focal point of their passing attack.

You can bet that will be the plan again if A.J. Terrell isn’t cleared to play against the Bills. This matchup will be the Falcons defense’s toughest challenge of the season and a true litmus test for how much progress the unit has made since last year. Having Terrell on the field will be critical if Atlanta hopes to climb above the .500 mark for the first time this season.

Additionally, the Falcons are opening up their 21-day window for defensive lineman Ta’Quon Graham. He will have to be activated at some point over the next three weeks.
