Here we are again, looking to lift the curtain on one man’s madness. To investigate the thoughts of a college football coach brought low by fate, and also a roster crammed to the gills with angry five star recruits who spend their days being yelled at by Kirby Smart. This is Western Kentucky head coach Tyson Helton during the waning moments of Saturday’s 70-20 loss to Georgia.
I ask you, what was Tyson Helton thinking?
a) “There have to be better ways to earn a living. I used to be a pretty fair checkers player. Is there a pro checkers circuit? Could I start one?”
b) “Clay’s going to be beating up on Dabo Swinney and I have to be here getting barbecued like a pork loin.”
c) “I feel like an armadillo on the highway of life. Turns out the light at the end of the tunnel was a set of Buick headlights.”
d) “I thought the SEC was kicking schools out of the league for playing NFL players.“
