Atlanta organizations will celebrate Transgender Day of Visibility
LGBTQ+ advocacy organizations in Atlanta will celebrate the transgender community on Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) on March 31.
Trans Joy will mark the observance on March 28 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Church at Ponce & Highland with games, crafts, and entertainment. From noon to 3 p.m., Charis Books & More will host a TDOV gathering and storytelling event at Waller’s Coffee Shop in Decatur.
On March 31, SnapCo. will host the Deeper Than Visibility Summit at Atlanta City Hall from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

‘Real Housewives’ advocate for HIV/AIDS research on Capitol Hill
“Real Housewives” cast members from across the country took over Capitol Hill on March 18 to advocate for expanded PrEP access and to push for continued — if not increased — funding for HIV/AIDS research.
The event brought together Housewives from multiple franchises, including NeNe Leakes (pictured with Sen. Tammy Baldwin) and Phaedra Parks from Atlanta, alongside Tristan Schukraft, founder and CEO of MISTR, an online platform that connects people to HIV prevention tools and care.
During the event, the Housewives shared personal stories on how HIV has impacted their lives and the ongoing impact of HIV across communities in the U.S.
