MAUM Market, a pop-up market that spotlights Asian-owned businesses, is coming to Atlanta for the first time on June 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. for a one-day event.
Founded in Los Angeles, MAUM — meaning “heart” or “mind” in Korean — features over 30 Asian-American brands specializing in food, fashion, home and lifestyle.
Visitors will get to check out a wide array of curated goods including handcrafted ceramics, minimalist jewelry, Vietnamese sauces, Korean-inspired home decor and more.
The event also gives attendees the opportunity to meet the independent creators, personalize specific products, as well as snack on various culinary bites such as mochi donuts, ube cookies, small-batch kimchi and dumplings.
In addition to Atlanta, MAUM Market plans on making stops in Boston, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland and Los Angeles.
MAUM says that its expansion into new cities, like Atlanta, allows it to “create a joyful space that blends commerce and community through an Asian-American lens, one market at a time.”
The flea market will make its Atlanta debut at Ponce City Market, a three-million-square-foot community hub located in the city’s historic Old Fourth Ward.
The mixed-use property, consisting of a total of five buildings, features food and retail offerings, office spaces, along with residential and hospitality living options.
