Social Circle Planning Commission recommends rezonings

The Social Circle Planning Commission took less than 15 minutes at its June 23 meeting to recommend that the city council approve the rezoning of two pieces of property from a residential medium-density classification, covering duplexes and similar structures, to the city’s R-15 single-family residential classification to accommodate a couple planning to build new homes on the lots. The city council will get a first look at the requests at its non-voting July 2 work session, and could vote on the planning commission’s recommendations at its July 21 regular meeting. Both council sessions are set for 6:30 p.m. in the City Community Room at 138 E. Hightower Trail.
