The matchup for the SEC Championship Game is finally set, and frankly it isn’t very surprising. For the fifth time Georgia will take on Alabama for the title in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta at 4:00. I don’t need to tell you, but the Tide have won all four prior matchups. But that hasn’t stopped the folks at FanDuel from installing the Red and Black as a 1.5 point favorite.
The spread is thin enough to essentially qualify as a toss-up, which makes sense given that the Tide and ‘Dawgs played a 3 point game in September. Both teams are also coming off physical rivalry games that leave them a little banged up. There’s every reason to believe that this will be yet another hard-hitting, back-and-forth slugfest between the twin 800 pound gorillas of the SEC jungle.
