You don’t ground and pound the mighty Kentucky Wildcats for a dominating SEC win without a total team effort. But even then some Georgia Bulldogs are bound to distinguish themselves above and beyond their peers. Those dominant ‘Dawgs are your MVDs, the Most Valuable ‘Dawgs from the Red and Black’s 35-14 victory over Kentucky.
Offense: Dillon Bell. Bell led all Bulldogs receivers with 68 yards on 4 receptions, but it was his 2 rushing attempts which covered all of 6 yards that made the real difference. Those two short jaunts each ended in a touchdown, and continued Bell’s emergence as one of the most effective and versatile elements of the UGA offense.
Defense: CJ Allen. The Bulldogs’ tackling machine of course tied for the team lead in tackles on the day with 6, but he added a sack as well as causing and recovering a fumble in the first half that really set the tone for the day defensively.
The Georgia staff has been emphasizing creating more turnovers and Allen clearly has been paying attention.
Special teams: Brett Thorson. The Thunder from Down Under wins this one solely based on this gorgeous punt.
I’ve never been to Paris and never seen the Mona Lisa, and I don’t think I need to. I’ve already seen the most beautiful thing ever created by man.
As always feel free to make your own nominations in the comments.
Go ‘Dawgs!!!
